Native plants, Clovers, & Strawberry Picking

We picked out some new wildflowers for the garden: Ox-eye, Blazing Star, Blue Lobelia, & Obedient Plant. I just love the beautiful names of wildflowers.

Native plants don’t need pesticides which is good for the environment.  Plus they don’t have to be watered once established and they attract beneficial insects to your garden.

Before we went to pick strawberries yesterday, we were sitting outside at home having coffee.  I started looking for a four-leaf clover.  Boop and hubby started helping me look. Amazingly, we found 1 five-leaf and 2 four-leaf clovers. 🙂

We ended up picking 26 lbs of strawberries!  They were $1.50 per lb.  It’s a great idea because we buy huge bags of frozen strawberries every week from the store for our daily morning smoothies anyway.
