On Memorial day we had such beautiful weather and I took some really amazing pictures. The sun tea I made was a hit!
The yellow irises are blooming.
I’m enjoying clover flowers a lot this year.
Captured this cool pic of a garden spider enjoying the lavender.
And I found this pretty tulip tree flower in the yard.
I also thought about my grandfather. He had 8 siblings, grew up on a farm and walked to school without shoes. He fought in WW2 and had a near death experience. If he hadn’t survived, I wouldn’t exist today. He was always my hero, and not only because of what happened to him. It was also because he taught me how to plant a garden and many more wonderful things. I learned a lot of useful & wise things from my Grandmother as well.
“Don’t wish me happiness
I don’t expect to be happy all the time…
It’s gotten beyond that somehow.
Wish me courage and strength and a sense of humor.
I will need them all.” – Anne Morrow Lindbergh, “Gift From the Sea”
