On Sunday, we adventured to the Delaware Water Gap Recreation Area. First we stopped for lunch and to go for a hike.
After hiking, it was a short ride to Port Jarvis, NY to stop at a nice coffee place. I’ve been using almond milk and cinnamon in my coffee lately and love it.
Steve enjoyed seeing the train station and turntable. We didn’t know it was there, and it was a fun surprise.
Next, we visited Grey Towers, home of Gifford Pinchot. He was the first Chief of the US Forest Service and Pennsylvania Governor for two terms. One of Pennsylvania’s State Parks was named after him as well. I had fun taking pictures of the mansion and garden.
Even though we have visited all of the State Parks in PA, there are still places to visit related to the State Parks.
Before heading home, we stopped at Dingmans Falls. We usually stop here whenever we are in the area. I love the nice workout from all the steps you have to climb to reach the top of the falls.
I love this area and learning about the beauty that surrounds it. It’s in the Pocono Mountains and definitely worth a visit or two.
