Picking Strawberries

DSC_0137

This morning we went to pick strawberries.πŸ“πŸ“πŸ“ I thought about how I used to pick them from my grandparent’s garden when I was a kid. I knew I shouldn’t eat them all so I made sure to leave them some lol. Those memories make me so happy!

This will be our 5th year in a row since we started picking fruit in the summer.Β  We ended up with 21.5 pounds for $35.Β  I freeze most of them for smoothies and enjoy the rest with french toast, pound cake, etc.Β  I always say that we have so many that we will soon turn into strawberries.πŸ˜ŠπŸ“ A fun tip I learned last year is that the tops are edible and nutritious, so I started leaving the tops on when freezing them.Β  I hope you have a berry nice day!
