Mourning Doves

Something I noticed a few years ago is that the mourning doves start cooing in February, which I’m pretty sure is the beginning of the mating season for them. I love the sound they make and listening to it. Sometimes I see the doves rubbing their beaks together like they are kissing. We were walking in Lititz Springs Park today and heard our first dove of the season, and I’ll bet we will listen to them at home very soon too.

  1. I’ve found that most of the dove calls I have heard are very soothing.
